Chinese Dragon Boats are slim teakwood or fiberglass fast 18-seater boats, with a dragon head and tail, painted in bright colours. This is an activity that’s extremely team focused, lots of fun and an excellent social experience. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s easy, you’ll get a pretty good workout. Prepare to get a little wet as well.
The Gauteng Dragon Boat Association has South Africa’s only set of traditional festival-style Dragon Boats, based at the Florida Lake. It is a serene, well-maintained, secure venue, with conference facilities. We cater for company teambuild events, as well as anyone interested in taking up dragon boat racing as a sport.
