View game and experience the bush from the air when you fly with Big Game Heli Services. They are based in Gravelotte, a small town in South Africa’s Limpopo province, 52 kilometres from Hoedspruit. Although they specialise in game capture and anti-rhino poaching surveillance for the many reserves in the area, they provide other helicopter services like charters and scenic flights.
Their scenic flights are not only… scenic. They double-up as anti-poaching patrol flights to aid in the protection of rhino as having a chopper in the air and eyes on the animals frequently is a deterrent to poachers. These scenic/patrol flights are available for guests at lodges and reserves in the area.
Big Game Heli Services operates a Robinson R44 helicopter that can accommodate three passengers for 20-40 minute scenic/patrol flights. Charters for lodge pick-ups and drop-offs or flights to other locations can also be booked.
