Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa (FTTSA) is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote a culture of responsible tourism development and offers professional guiding based on a strong ethical, safety- and environmentally conscious approach which provides the visitor with a pleasant and meaningful experience.

FTTSA is the world’s first and still only Fair Trade certification programme that examines social, economic and environmental best practices in tourism businesses – seeking a balance of all three principles of sustainable development.

FTTSA certification guarantees that FTTSA-certified properties and activities are committed to operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
