Some people enjoy Plettenberg Bay (or Plett) for the long pristine beaches and warm water. Others love adventure activities like up close and personal encounters with wildlife as varied as elephants, whales or seals. Plett is also great for adrenaline pumping activities like surfing or skydiving

Plett is a beach town situated on Plettenberg Bay, originally named by Portuguese sailors as Bahia Formosa (beautiful bay). The rocky headland of Robberg is a Nature and Marine Reserve stretching along a peninsula south east of Plett. Here huge colonies of Cape Fur seals play in the bay and whales are often sighted during migration season.

To the north, the river mouth of the Keurbooms River offer paddlers an opportunity to explore this beautiful stretch of water by canoe or kayak.

With so many different things to do, it is easy to see why holiday makers keep returning to Plett!
