Clarens Adventures

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Maluti Mountains in the Eastern Free State, Clarens is a gorgeous little town with lots of adventure options and a wonderful artistic and eclectic community.

The Ash River, which is fed by the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, offers very dependable white water rafting, which you can do as a stand-alone adventure or combine with some abseiling or archery, or drag your whole office along and pick and mix to make up a great team building adventure.

You could also do a wonderful short or long horse trail in the foothills of the Malutis or, for a really romantic and special occasion, you could float over the landscape in a hot-air balloon in the early morning.

Clarens is also close to the Golden Gate Highlands National Park, the Basotho Cultural Village and some wonderful rock art.
