Turtle Tours

Maputo-land or Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal on the far north eastern coast of South Africa offers some of the best turtle viewing in the world. In season you can see giant Leatherback and Loggerhead turtles nesting on pristine beaches. The turtle nesting activity takes place from November to March.

The leatherback turtle, Dermochelys coriacea is the largest of all living sea turtles and the largest reptile behind the crocodile.
