Mountaineering or mountain climbing is an outdoor adventure that involves walking, hiking, backpacking and climbing mountains. In Dirty Boots we have separated casual Hiking and overnight backpacking from mountaineering, giving you a list of adventure operators that can guide you on more serious hikes in and around South Africa.
